Police Science Major

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
64 credit hours – An Associate in Science degree in one of the following tracks: Criminal Justice Technology, Crime Scene Technology or Emergency Administration and Management (Homeland Security)
18 general education hours – Hours are to meet the Florida Liberal Studies requirements to transfer. Additional hours beyond the 18 will be used to reduce the total hours required for the degree.
46 professional core hours
DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
130 credit hours total with at least 45 hours in courses 3000 or above.
66 hours total beyond the AS degree.
48 credit hours in public safety and security with specific requirements of:
6 core courses (18 hours) completed with a grade of C or better.

 The 26-course program is designed for 2 or 4 courses per semester resulting in 13 semesters or 6 semesters respectively to complete.

The initial courses are being delivered Fall 2011 with the remainder of the courses prepared for delivery in the next four semesters.
