The 22-course program is designed for 2 or 4 courses per semester resulting in 11 semesters or 5 semesters respectively to complete.
Additional Information:
In addition to the requirements outlined above, each student must complete all University-wide requirements for graduation. These requirements include:
a. Liberal studies (general education) and the Gordon Rule writing requirements: Transfer students with an AA degree from a Florida community college have automatically met the general education and Gordon Rule writing requirements.
b. Multicultural requirement: Students transferring with 60 or more hours must complete one multicultural course. Other students must complete two multicultural courses. Courses taken at a previous institution may be used to satisfy this requirement.
c. FSU residency requirement: Each student’s last 30 hours must be in residence at FSU.
d. Oral Competency requirement may be met with SPC 1608 (GCSC). There are also several courses offered at FSU PC that will meet this requirement. Acceptable substitutes may include, but are not limited to:
a. A grade of “B” or above in a high school oral communication or speech class
b. Verified successful participation in a forensic or debate team in high school, community college, or college; or
c. Passing with a “C-“or higher a course in public speaking in another college or university (including community college}.
e. University Computer Literacy can be met with a grade of C- or better in CGS 1570 (GCSC), CGS 2100 (FSU) or equivalent.
f. Foreign Language Requirement can be satisfied by having two sequential units of the same foreign language in high school, or two semesters of the same foreign language in college or documented equivalent proficiency.
